What a Week.
Made a Dreamwidth so that I can journal and post fanfiction again, like I did back in the 00s when Livejournal was a thing. Or 2010s with Tumblr.
Anyway.
So, I got COVID. Went to work on Monday morning (after feeling awful all weekend) and got tested. The office women were pretty surprised, they haven't tested someone who ended up so positive before, I don't even think 3 minutes passed yet and I was already getting positive results.
I go back to work Sunday now, which, thank God. I'm not ready. I wanna enjoy my Saturday lmao.
I'll be at home, but hey, I wanna enjoy it nonetheless. My boss ended up calling me so that I could confirm she also knew (she didn't) but it's settled, Sunday is my day back at work.
Then my dad got into trouble, and I'll spare details but we got VERY lucky. Very lucky. I hope he learned his lesson, but I don't know for sure.
My mom was tested yesterday and I learned my friend was, too. I'm worried for my mom, and what sucks the most is I tried my best to avoid her. This virus is too contagious, and my dad isn't vaccinated (for medical reasons... or so he claims), so I'm just waiting. It isn't about 'if' anymore, it's 'when'.
It's scary.
This week I've been getting through books (Crier's War and Iron Heart by Nina Varela), tv, and playing a lot of Sims 4. I've been rotating between finishing season 2 of Witcher, rewatching Dreamworks SheRa, getting through The Owl House (which I heard was good, and it is, but it's definitely more of a kids' show than SheRa, you know?) and starting Gentleman Jack (although it's difficult since I don't have HBO Max and have been watching on sketchy websites).
So, yeah.
My diet has officially been killed this week, but I'm picking it back up today. Aiming to eat 1200 calories, at most, but I am getting takeout via Door Dash later so I'll probably surpass that. Whatever. It's been a rough week.
Happy New Year, it's already been a wild ride...
